Art Alive in Churches (AAiC) was established in 2008 in Norfolk. Since 2013 it has become a small charity and expanded its work to Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Its aims are to interest and educate people in the art and artefacts to be found in the historic churches of East Anglia.
Since its inception, Art Alive in Churches (AAIC) has run long weekends of exhibitions and demonstrations in Norfolk churches on particular themes relating to the church buildings and their artefacts. These have been used to entice visitors into churches to demonstrate what wonderful art galleries churches are. Art Alive in Churches has also (AAIC) undertaken educational work with local Schools, thus encouraging future generations to take an interest in their history and heritage.
