The Methodist Church is seeking three volunteers with proven expertise to help support the care and promotion of Methodist archives and heritage. Methodist Archivists’ Network Co-ordinator
Our volunteer Liaison Officer for Methodist Archives needs help to:
• respond to public enquiries about accessing our records
• advise our church archivists on how to preserve our records, working with local record office professionals
• organise and run an annual Methodist archivists’ training day.
You will join the Archives & Records Advisory Group of the Heritage Committee (two meetings per year).
Two members of the Methodist Heritage Committee (1 vacancy from October 2015, 1 from March 2016)
The Methodist Heritage Committee is committed to the vision of preserving Methodist heritage and using it as a tool for mission. The Heritage Committee, which meets twice a year, seeks two new members to support and contribute to its work as it moves forward with a strategy which advances the interests of Methodist Heritage throughout the Connexion. Skills and proven ability in supporting heritage development, heritage tourism, fundraising, marketing and/or working in a heritage environment are particularly desirable.
